Wild Turkey Calls
You can hear wild turkey calls and see their pictures on a website of a breeder.
These exotic-looking birds use vocalizations and physical displays to communicate. Gobbling males during the breeding season can be heard a mile away. They make loud sounds to attract females and repel competing males. Sometimes, several males gobble together and attract more females. Hens yelp responding to the males. At least 15 different vocalizations of these birds are recognized. Females raise the chicks alone. They communicate by "clucks," "putts," "purrs," "yelps," "cutts," "cackles," and "kee-kees." These birds are very wary and difficult to spot.

Wild Turkey Calls -
pictures, breeder
Domestic variety of this species originated in South America; large populations of these birds have always inhabited the vast territory from Brazil to Canada. A large population of feral birds is well established throughout the USA, especially in eastern and southern states. These birds have escaped from the owners, crossbred with native birds and live in flocks. Wild communities of these birds are considered to be dangerous for the agriculture, as these birds tend to damage crops, if they don’t have enough food. The average lifespan of these birds is 2-3 years, but in captivity they live up to 15 years. You can hear wild turkey calls and see their pictures on a website of a breeder.
