How To Cook Wild Turkey
Recommendations on how to cook wild turkey with photos can be found on the websites of their breeders.
These birds are unique by their body structure and bright feather iridescence. The feathers have special cells that reflect the light and create that unique iridescent look. Some feathers of these birds glitter when you look at them from a certain angle. The pigment of this species doesn’t include yellow or red, but in the broad daylight you can see these colors due to iridescence. These birds have long legs and a curved bill that enable finding food in the ground.

How To Cook Wild Turkey -
photos, breeders
These birds reach sexual maturity at 10-12 months. Only adult males can breed with a harem of hens. Young males don’t have their home range and cannot attract females, but first-year females are ready for mating. Juvenile birds of both sexes are characterized by an uneven tail contour, an unbarred tip on the wing feathers, and short, greater upper-secondary coverts. Yearlings weigh from 5 to 13 pounds; they have short spurs and a small beard. Gobblers are larger and brighter than hens. Sexual dimorphism is very strong in these birds; the sex of a bird can be easily determined by sight and even by tracks. Males have a large track with a middle toe over 4 inches in length.
